• Interview with a Vampire

No, it's not like TV, movies or books. You don't have to believe me either. Doesn't matter to me if you read for entertainment or to read comments you believe come from a real vampire. Vampires are very real and live all over the world. We look just like everyone else. We have some abilities that 'normals' don't have and we do live very long lives without apparent aging. I was born in 1799 and still look 30. I look forward to your questions and will post musings about the history I have witnessed.

True Blood Review 9/28/08

Posted on September 30th, 2008 by Vampire

This weeks episode was not vampire centric.  Mostly covered the murder.  We did get to visit Fangtasia, the vampire bar.
Not much to comment on this week.  I have never found a real vampire bar or club. There are people that seek out vampires to offer themselves up to be fed on. Some vampires have subs [...]

Fake Vampires - Entertaining

Posted on September 29th, 2008 by Vampire

I find it entertaining when people pretend to be a real vampire. Some drink blood thinking that makes them a vampire. Some dress like they think a vampire would dress and hide from the daylight.
How do you tell if someone is a vampire? You really can’t. Over time, you might be able to discover enough [...]

Questions - September 29, 2008

Posted on September 29th, 2008 by Vampire

Lots of questions this week. Let us jump right in…
kyoichi cullen asks:
I am a recently turned vampire and I was wondering, will my host leave me?
Answer: Only he/she would know that. Some vampires train and nurture their offspring (vampire offspring, not children as vampires cannot have children). Some will turn for sport and offer no guidance, [...]

True Blood - Comments

Posted on September 23rd, 2008 by Vampire

The new HBO series True Blood is interesting.  I have watched the third episode now and wanted to comment on the Vampire rules and abilities seen so far.
The show is correct that drinking a Vampire’s blood will not turn you into a vampire.  It would probably make a person sick to their stomach.  No magical [...]

Sorry for my absence over the past week.  I had some business to take care of out of town.  I am back and will get to some of your questions shortly.

My Mortal Job

Posted on September 8th, 2008 by Vampire

Before I was turned, I was a carpenter. I helped build the Bank of Louisiana building on Royal street, now the 8th District Police Station.
My work can be seen in many of the oldest buildings in the French Quarter.  The early 1800s were a period of massive growth in New Orleans.  The city burned in [...]

Sunlight

Posted on September 8th, 2008 by Vampire

Does sunlight burn or kill a vampire.  The short answer is yes…and no.
Ultraviolet rays can cause burning of a vampire’s skin just like it can sunburn your skin…only MUCH faster.  I will not burst into flames if sunlight contacts my skin and the burn heals quite fast.  Amazingly, we can stand in sunlight all day [...]

Answering your questions (these came from close friends and should get us started.)
Does garlic or silver affect you?
Not the way they do in the movies. I do not like garlic but it has nothing to do with being a vampire. Silver will not really hurt me but prolonged exposure can cause a reaction similar to [...]

Hello world!

Posted on September 7th, 2008 by admin

I know you won’t believe this but that doesn’t really matter.  I am an actual, real-life vampire that has decided to reveal myself to the public while remaining relatively anonymous on the Internet.
A little about myself.  I am a male, appearing about 30 years of age, but I was born in 1799 in La Nouvelle Orléans, now known [...]
